My '97 only has one on the passenger side. Don't know why they put one on
the driver side, ("Oh #@$%!....quick, grab the handle before we crash - not
the steering wheel!) ;)
You can order them with the trim code for your vehicle. Whether they have
them for your specific model is another story. I can check for you though -
P/N#, Price, and where it's located at.

I'm kind of surprised you don't at least have one on the passenger side.
My '99 had one. My '03 came with one on each side, I think they
started that in '00 or '01. Probably only on certain trim packages.
As far as a retrofit, I considered it but never got into any research on it.
