Yep, I've installed a couple. Its not terribly difficult, but
it can be time consuming and painful (be prepared to spend a lot
of time on your knees, upside down, and contorted in varous
un-natural positions under the dash.) ;-)
Unless you have a vehicle specific diagram from the alarm
manufacturer (not likely) be prepared to spend some time with
the FSM and a multimeter to find the right wires.
One thing to be aware of is that some alarms might require
you to use an official installer to keep any warranty or theft
guarantees in place. (i.e. last time I checked, DEI had a thing
with some of their alarms that if your car was stolen while you
were using the alarm, they would pay you $5,000. But only if
it was installed by a professional installer approved by them.)
This might not make any difference for you but I thought I would
mention it just in case.
