I've wondered about this, as mine is 3" past the cat, then necks down before
going into the muffler. As I am the 2nd owner, they may have had it changed,
but it appears the factory pipe goes from 3" to 2-1/2 before the muffler,
and at that point is where the new, smaller pipe was welded on.
BTW, does anyone have a L upper control arm with good bushings and ball
joint? Cheaper and easier than replacing the components.
