changing tranny shift point

Hey all,

The 390 stroker is running well. The only thing that is bugging me is
that the tranny wants to shift higher than the optimal RPM for the stroker.
The best use of the power/torque band would be to shift at about 5200 RPM but
the tranny wants to shift at 5500-5600 RPM is there any way outside of a manual
valve body that I can lower the shift point?
