It depends on the wording of the "warranty". Some are merely service
contracts and specify right in them that any change from original
configuration makes any claims void. Others are closer to insurance
policies than anything else and the claim may be denied for whatever
reasons (Geico actually offers repair insurance to their customers on
new vehicles). You have to read those aftermarket "warranties" very,
very carefully.
