I'm thinking the bleed hole in the stat may be too big. Have the opposite
problem on my Kawasaki. When temps are low, the engine warms fine-until the
stat opens, then plummets back almost to full cold. Enlarging the bleed hole
in the stat just a tad solves the problem.
