Motorcycle Consumer News routinely tests products and reports on them
without bias, because they accept NO advertising, and all items they test,
except motorcycles are PURCHASED by the magazine.
Example: They tested some auxilliary coils that plugged in line with the
spark plugs. These were to be used with standard (non resistor) plugs. They
did stock dyno runs, then runs with the coils and plugs, showing a HP
increase. They then removed the gadget coils and did a few more dyno runs
with the standard plugs only. Guess what happened?
Yup, MORE HP
They then put the coils in place with the stock plugs, and guess what? The
lowest HP reading of the entire test.
They said plainly-do not buy this item.
