Thanks, I work very hard to keep it that shiney - ask anyone that's seen it
IRL when it's clean. The paint looks 3 feet deep.
That "billet" grille you mentioned is chrome door guard and cost me about
$12 three years ago now. It's beginning to peel a bit, so I've been
comtemplating getting an actual billet insert this time. Odds are I'll just
redo the door edge guard though.
The key to getting it to look good is the way you cut the ends. I did it on
an angle from the outside edge back at a 45, and it seems to look better up
close than if you were to just cut them straight. Be sure to get the pieces
all the same length (i cut one side very nicely and then did the other side
using a template) and make them go as far to each side as possible. This
will make it a tough harder to clean in there, but the look is worth it IMO.
