Seems to me when Mobil One came out in the 1970s, they promoted it as
running 25,000 miles, then backed off that a few years later.

I thought so to and the fact they advocated changing the oil
no earlier than 8,000 miles. I might let mine slip to 6,000 miles
but, would really hate to go any further before a completer change.

Hmm. Really interesting note in there about engine wear actually
decreasing as oil ages...
