I would submit that low-end torque is going to play a big role in getting
the vehicle started from a dead stop. I'm really very happy for Nissan
that they're able to turn their plastic engine at a zillion RPMs to
generate a high HP figure for their marketing material, but I'd say that
you'd need some real torque to overcome your own inertia at the starting
line.
Particularly if you hook up about 9000 lbs of trailer behind each truck.
I'd guess that that scenario would favor a Mopar torquemonster over a
hyperactive high RPM twisty engine.
But of course, this is all just my opinion.
