What the hell does the titan have to do with the nissan engine? oh,

Titan was (is?) the ford engine lineup that started right around the
bubble F150 design & intrduction of the current SuperDuties.
yes, this really was my first thought. now why did nissan have to go
and do this to me? Next Fiat will come out with a pickup, the Magnum,
and VW will begin marketing the Vortec fullsize 'ute.....
