Very gentle application of a flat screwdriver should be fine. You just
need to lift out one edge. If ur worried, try the blunt end of a
plastic pen (so you don't lose the cap)...it should slide past the plug
and into the diff case, then you can pry out the plug.

Don't worry, just be careful and gentle :)
