I think ya jinxed me! I hadda wash the DAKSY on Sunday, cuz she was awfully
filthy. Well, Monday AM I opened the tailgate to get rid of some tools that
were sliding around after a side job & I couldn't get the gate to latch!
It's kinda like you put one of them R$(&^%t T&*^$%man curses on me!
Anyway... I let it stay down for a couple of days - mainly cuz it's still
colder than Alaska here....
Tonite, I managed to get home from work while it was still daylight & I
started fiddling with the latches...I moved the driver's side by hand to see
if the problem was obvious & I heard a "click" - and it locked! So I
released the handle and it returned to the 'open' position. I manually moved
it again & NOTHING! WTF!??! So I tried the PS & NOTHING there either....Then
I noticed a little piece of a lever poking out of the gate alongside the
piece I'd been fiddling with...& was able to move it with my fingertip &
VOILA! The latch Clicked! So I tried the PS & YEAH! That one clicked, too!
So I released both of them with the handle & moved both the levers & the
tailgate is latched once again...No more worries about idiots getting too
close & not seeing the gate down...
Learn somethin new...
