did you mention don't buy at spitzer dodge? :) i would agree, i think i would have to consider bob caldwell only b/c we have bought our last 6 vehicles from them. I think that should stand for some kind of discount. They should also be running the discount for the auto show comming in a few weeks-that's how i got my dak.
i think i am going to look again at the stratus. What kind of mileage did the older model status get?
does anyone know what kind of mileage a liberty 4x4 with the new V6 get?

Hey Tim, I believe you're aware of my wife racing her Stratus at NTR, both
her '97 and now the '02 R/T sedan. We had 54K miles on the '97 (2.4L
4-banger) and have 20K on the '02 (2.7L V6). No problems, good mileage,
plenty of room for people and cargo. In spite of the racing our oil
analysis from Blackstone is excellent and the car has never burned or leaked
any oil. We use it for all our road trips too and it's very comfortable,
even for 4 adults.
I have also raced a borrowed '00 Neon at the Mopar Nats for the past 3 years
and even though the owner neglects it, at 50K miles it is still going strong
with no oil loss or any other problems. Basically, from my experience,
either car should be decent. You should be able to swing a great deal from
either Caldwell Dodge or Greg Nelson in Marysville (it's worth the trip).
Avoid Spitzer Dodge!! Oh yeah, in case you forgot.....don't buy from
Spitzer! :-)
