Oh, ok, that explains why I never heard of it, I only use Mobil1. I've heard friends say that they wouldn't use QS [or PZ for that matter] if the only other choice was dirty water, but I have never had any real experience with it[them]. I went directly from buying the cheapest oil I could find to Mobil1 right about the same time I started reading the internet and realized there was a difference. I realize if you change your oil every 1500-2000 miles, the brand makes little difference, but I take trips that are longer than that, 5-8 times a year, so using the best oil that I could find, in order to give myself a bit of a cushion seems like a good idea.

Quaker State.. If you register a new or low mileage( I think it had to be
under 30K) vehicle with them; and keep the oil changed with QS (at the
regular intervals). They'll warranty the motor for 10 years or 200K miles..
Naturally.. if it dies from an OD of nitrous.. or a failed water pump
running it till it melts.. But you get the general idea.. They've got the
details on thier website, at the stores on the oil bottles, and at the
Q-Lube centers.
