Hey guys,

I thought i'd give y'all a status update on my quest for personal
mechanical enlightenment. Interestingly enough, I've done pretty well,
managing to get 5 of the 6 spark plugs changed. I did cylinders 1 and
3, then found that 5 wouldn't budge. Switched over to 2,4,6 and got
those done no sweat.

Went back to cylinder 5, and I wonder if the last person who switched
plugs out on'er must have stripped the plug threads as they were putting
it in (I can imagine how that could happen -- god damned brake booster)
- -- I got the plug to back out a little bit, but now it's stuck solid, I
can't back it out or screw it back in. I'm afraid to torque it any
harder, will I shatter the plug? My guess is that'd be even less fun to
fix.

Anyway, so now I'm stuck. I've got 5 of the 6 plugs in, the plug wires
all routed, but can't seem to budge cylinder 5. My question becomes, is
there a way for me to remove the brake booster? I couldn't see any
bolts that might give away it's weak spot. If I take the brake booster
off, am I going to be shooting brake fluid everywhere? Should I admit
defeat and get my mechanic to put my last spark plug in? :)

Can I reset the PCM and run with 5 autolite 3923's and the 1 bosch
platinum? Will that throw my timings horribly out-of-whack?

HELP! :)

Pete
