Now that I'm on a real connection, I plugged the following numbers
into the DML wheel and tire calculator (www.dakota-truck.net/tirecalc)
Going from a 215/75 15 to a 245/55 18 would essentially act as if
you had left your tires alone and instead changed the gears from
4.10s to 3.97s. I used 215/75 because you said you have the stock
tires, and I believe that is the stock size. If your current tires
truly are exactly 28" tall, it would be like going from a 4.10 to
a 4.01.
I know there are DMLers here who have gone from 3.90s to 4.10s,
they would probably be able to give you a decent idea of what
the change feels like. That would be similar to the first
example I gave (though not even as extreme), or if your situation
is closer to the second example, it would be about half that amount.
