Bill,
I picked the Superchips programmer also. There was a group buy about a month
ago. I got mine then for $270 shipped. Be aware though that if you get it it
is quite possible that you may need to send it in to Superchips for
updating. Several of the people involved in the group buy did, including me.
It wasn't because it was old inventory either, mine was manufactured in Nov
2003. Superchips doesn't have an 800 number so if you need to call it's your
dime. The speed calibrator works fine, I calibrated mine with the help of a
GPS. It's quite accurate. I had been using a Yellow Box from Blackrobotics
to adjust the speedometer, but I no longer need it. I am using the 91 octane
performance setting, I notice a difference, but I always wonder how much of
that is wishful thinking. I will be using the towing setting later this
month. I don't have anything to compare as far as towing goes, I changed
rear end gears since I last towed my trailer.

I would have responded before but you were looking for specifics that I
couldn't help with.

OK since no one wants to comment I went digging in the archives. Found a lot

of threads bit not a lot of info. Which seems odd for the DML as there
always
seems to be good info here? I'm leaning towards the Superchips as it has 3
different programs, allows for tire size and has a code reader.
In looking through the archives it looks like there was a group buy a while
back. Are there any current deals out there?
Bill
