Any of the O2 sensor codes will trip the MIL eventually.

I have given this a shot. interesting results so far...
I didn't do anything code-wise when I tied the sensor to the frame,
seeing if it would reset during the trip. It didn't - I still had an
SES when I got back to Rochester.

So I got out my superchips, checked the codes and had two:
malfunctioning cat and O2 'grounded to voltage' (these are both IIRC,
and I'm pretty sure that the superchips' table does use a stupid phrase
like that). cleared them, ran about 40 miles' worth of errands and got
another SES, so I figured the O2 wasn't seeing what it liked and this
wasn't going to work.

However, what I found was another P0138, which shows up in the DML
dealie as "Downstream oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above the
normal operating range."
The superchips table says that this won't trip the SES, but the DML
dealie says it will. so maybe I'm thinking of the wrong code. but in
any case it looks like if I insulate the tip of the O2 from the frame
I'll maybe be in good shape - I figure it'll probably keep functioning
longer if I house it somehow anyway.
