Hey, Jon,

<snip> It's a woodburner now, but we're most likely going to go with gas
pretty
soon! Just have to run ~20' of line and put the logs in :-)<snip>

Info: gas logs are considered "decorative appliances" & technically are not
considered
"heating units." They're as inefficient as fireplaces, because the damper
has to remain open in
order for the exhaust gases to evacuate. Of you're considering "vent free"
gas logs - BEWARE!
Without a vent, all the exhausr gases enter your dwelling. As long as a
vent-free appliance is
burning cleanly, no probs. BUT, if something happens to impinge the flames &
you get sooting
(on the logs), you will also get CO into your house. Make sure you install a
CO detector, which ever way you go...

<snip> Can't think of what the 1281 is offhand, but a 0442 is usually either
the
cap or a cracked line (usually around the LDP or charcoal can).<snip>

Well the MIL (& the 1281 & 0442 codes) is back.
I may have to get another 180 deg t-stat for the 1281...
I checked the O-ring seal on the gas cap - it's fine...I'll check the LPD
this weekend - looks like we might get some spring-like weather...FINALLY!
