Which alternator has a smaller pulley?

What year alternator started with the smaller pulley size to solve the idle
speed charging problem, was it 96 or 97+ ? My 92 alternator has a 2.75"
pulley, anyone wanna measure thiers for me, dont get the wrong idea!!!
