I'd hardly call it "extreme duty." My father was pulling a 2500-pound
pop-up trailer, equipped with electric brakes. Hardly taxing a Durango
that regularly hauled a 27-foot travel trailer. He had a couple
"strong" stops coming into town off a grade or two but other than that
it wasn't anything you wouldn't find in any mountainous terrain.
Overall, my father is anything but an "extreme" driver, he's quite
conservative especially anytime he has something hanging off the hitch.
And he's not the only person who has had this happen to him.
