I've owned my Dak for about 4.5 years and now that we got my wife a new car,
I thought I'd take care of some of the things that made the ol' truck feel
OLD.

I've been putting up with leaf spring squeak for the last 25k miles. I
finally ordered a set of Energy Suspension urethane bushings. I'm extrememly
out of wrenching practice, but it took about 6 hours for me to do the
shackle ends. That was 4 for the driver's side and 2 for the other side
(learning curve). The hardest part was getting the old rubber out (drilled
then burned out with propane torch), and then the metal eyelet sleeve in the
leaf (first side I used a hack saw to slit it, second side I realized I had
an air chisel DUH). I know it's all relative, but the ol' girl feels like a
sports car now.
