I have been through mine in my Dakota and learned a
few things. Mine was doing just what you described,
after a full rebuild it continued doing so. After
some searching and digging I found a tsb refering to
the pressure governing servo. I replaced the servo
and had no problems after that. My trans had about
78,000 miles on it when I did that.
