All you DAKsperts that pointed me towards the belt tensioner...The new one
is in & the screech is gone!
Course I paid more for the new tensioner than I did for my FIRST CAR! My
bud - the parts mgr @ Dodge World -was at a MoPar swap meet & couldn't give
me his 30% discount, dammit...but I hadda do it this weekend cuz the temps
are heating up & you shoulda heard the screech with the A/C on! YOWZA!
Embarassed the hell outta me !
So much to the point that I'd suffer through the sweltering heat inside of
the DAKSY before I'd make everyone in the area put up with THAT!
Ennyhoo, why did they put a mounting bolt in-line & directly behind the dip
stick tube?!??!? For that matter, why didn't they mount the coil to the
bracket with hex head bolts instead of #3 Phillips head screws?!??!
No bloody knuckles but plenty of muttering & 45 minutes later - VOILA!
