I took the emblems off the truck today (LE, DAKOTA, and V8; my friend came
up with the idea to turn it into a LeDakota V8 and sell it in France, or
pass it off as a French Dodge). I was happy to see what was under it wasn't
too far off from the rest of the truck. What I didn't like was the adhesive
the body shop used to re-stick them after they repainted the truck who knows
how long ago. It looks like they put glue on the adhesive foam they
originally stuck on with, and I'm having some trouble getting it off the
paint. There's also some black discoloration which I would assume is stuck
in the glue. Any reccomendations on getting the adhesive off? I worked at
it with PB Blaster and a plastic spatula but there is still some that won't
budge. Don't want to hurt the paint so I'm being really careful about what
I put on! Thanks,
Travis
