well.. The problem's not the Dakota.. It's a 5spd and holding up..
Problem is sisters 93 Caravan 3.0L V6.. Tranny is not wanting to shift
into 3rd.. and when stopping she says it's not wanting to go back to 1st on
its own.
She's had the fluid changed...twice.. first time they used Dextron.. 3 days
later realized it should hav been ATF+3. and adjusted the bands.
Trying to get ideas as to tell her what they should be looking into. Pulls
fine from standstill.. So I was assuming not the pump or converter. Could
it be sticking in the valve body?
Oh, and the van only has 170K miles on it; so I wouldn't be expecting it to
be actually worn out already.
Any ideas or suggestions?
