As long as the oil pump drive slot is facing forward or the slot is straight
back and fourth that sounds about right, install the Dist and turn it so the
#2 plug station is at about the 6:00 O' clock position.
Then the next terminal going clockwise will be #1, followed by #8,4,3 will
be at the back at 12:00
O' Clock position, then #6,#5, and #7 should be last.....

As long as #2 and #3 are at the 6 and 12 O'clock positions and that oil pump
drive slot is facing straight on you should be in time.........lock the
dist down with the hold down and bolt.

Providing that the engine is on TDC with both the intake and exhaust valves
closed and the piston all the way up on the compression stroke.

You should be good to go........

The Computer (PCM) controls timing, no adjustment can be made by turning the
dist housing !

I used the diagram and text from my 2ND addition Magnum engines book so this
should be correct!
