ONt hat particular motor I donot believe that you have to pull the timing
chain cover.. and someone may correct me if im wrong, but the older 318/360
in the ram chargers/power wagons of yore, really didnt have much of a
problem with timing chains You could change it just to be safe but that
would definitely be more work then what you are intending on. With over
250k on my dads ram charger we only did a half rebuild once. Dropped
pistons and crank out bottom new rings and then pulled the valve train and
intake and had the carbon cleaned from it.. To my knowledge the timing
chain has never failed on it.. and it was well abused between 4 kids(me
first! a sister and 2 more rothers) over their driving years....
