Ouch... Daks' been deflowered, kinda long

Now that I have your attention.

Like many of you, I love looking at my DAK, but 99% of the time it is
standing still or I'm behind the wheel, so when my wife suckers me into
borrowing it, I watch her drive off (nothing better than a good looking
woman behind the wheel of a good looking Dak). Today I knew more or less
what time she would be home, so I was looking out the window so I could
watch her drive up (I really love my DAK!) and as soon as she parked, she
got out and ducked down to look at something, but she was out of my view
(neon was in the way). At first I thought she dropped something, Nope! So I
go out there, to see what's up, when I notice the tears in her eyes and she
looks at my Dak and says, "You're gonna be mad". I think my heart stopped!
Here's the 411...

It been raining all week, and It floods rather quickly in and around
Houston. When this happens I let my wife drive the Dak. She feels safer in
it more than her neon. So today she had the late shift at work, she was the
closing manager and as part of the closing procedures, she has to drive the
perimiter of the building to make sure that everything is secure, no
suspicious people lurking, etc. Well... as she finished checking the last
door, she drove between two yellow concrete poles about 3' tall that are in
the parking lot. She almost made it... I guess she cut the wheel too soon
cuz she managed to SCRAPE up against one of them. It hit on the drivers side
rear fender flair. The SCRAPE is about a foot long and is verticle (the end
closest to the gas door). Upon further inspection, I noticed several GOUGES
w/yellow filler. OUCH. She apologised for about 30 minutes. She feels
horrible, she keep repeating "you really take of it, I'm so sorry". It's
really hard to be mad at someone when they're ballin like that. Damn she
took the fun out of me being mad, oh well. It's not bad really, just gotta
replace the flair. Of course being the opportunistic SOB that I am, I think
the DAK needs a few more goddies ;-)

Other news, Tomorrow I am taking my Civil Service Exam so I can attend the
Pasadena Police Academy. Wish me luck!
