The quicker flash cycle is due to less resistance...a simple resistor in the
line will help change this (seems to only happen on less expensive LED's
though). I picked mine up from an online company (was referred to them from
a person at a local car show)...i'll dig up the site for ya. The light
still has the round "dot" effect, but...at night...does fill the tail light
assembly pretty well - VERY visible at that.

where'd you get them? do they fill out the entire light fixture, or do
they direct straight ahead/behind? That's my beef with the LEDs I
tried.
Also, I don't suppose you could dig up the part number of the flasher
you use that doesn't get mad at the LEDs? TIA,
