Ok, well I took it to the dealer Sat because they had time to take a look at
it. They found the same codes, then reset the computer to look for hard faults
(according to what they said was the troubleshooting procedure for this). The
codes went away, engine light was off, and truck runs fine. They didn't charge
me anything and said I would have to bring it in during the week next time this
happens when they have more experienced techs working.

I went home and checked the injectors (all around 12 ohms), reseated every
connector I could find, and swapped out the ASD relay. I did notice a little
bit of arching or scorching on a couple of the relay contacts. Is that normal?

I recall reading about the TPS as well in another problem causing rpm
fluctuations. So I'll look into that, see how much that part is and how
difficult it is to replace.
