Do you have a weight-distributing hitch? It sounds like you're towing
close to the limits on your QC, and a WD hitch will make a HUGE difference.
Is your trailer's weight properly balanced between what's on the tongue
and what's on its axles?
The R/T suspension is handicapped by its travel - you can't tow more
than 2000 pounds on it, stock. I think it's a pretty different rear
spring from what you have on your QC, too - to the point of it not being
an easy swap.
There are a *lot* of factors that lead to your tow limits - chassis,
brakes, suspension, drivetrain, tow rig setup and more. It's not just
one part.
You could also try a Roadmaster kit, overload springs or airbags. But
you really do not want to exceed that tow rating, regardless of how many
parts you add on that claim they can let you take more. How much weight
are you pulling?
