Well, I ordered a transmission today. After dealing with the dealers and
finding out that they don't offer new transmissions and that there is no
such thing as a new tranny, I took my business elsewhere. Paying almost
2,100 dollars for a transmission that's a rebuild just didn't appear as a
good deal to me. So I ordered a Power Demon S transmission from Power Demon
Drivetrain, great people, awesome to talk to. For a few hundred less than
the dealer (considering no tax on the PD tranny) I got another A 500 with a
Stage II Trans-Go and a 3 year/60K warranty. A local dealer is installing
it for around $300. So hopefully when I get back from my vacation I'll have
a nice new tranny. :)
