At a $1.50 per gallon, it costs you .088 cents per mile at 17 MPG. It will
cost .083 cents per mile at 18 MPG. That's a savings of .005 cents per
mile. You will have to travel 20,000 miles to make up $100.00.

P.S. It faster to use a calculator than to open up a spreadsheet program,
define fields and formulas to figure it out. If you plan on trying a bunch
of different variables, then the spreadsheet method would definatly be
faster :)

        Hi All,
At $1.50 +a gallon, for gas how long will it take (how many miles)
to return say $100.00 spent on a new electric fan, and a gain of 1 mpg??
Currently I get 17mpg.

I was wondering if anyone had a spread sheet to play with the
numbers.
Something to plug numbers into and get results.
