this is mostly for the benefit of those who were at the BBQ and have a
bit of background on my project. for those out of the loop, I'm in the
midst of swapping a D60 rear (which may actually be a Sterling 10.25")
and D44HD front under my '98 CC.

so I started the day with about a thousand phone calls chasing brake
parts. Napa thought they could get the other half of the caliper by
ordering a loaded caliper, but it actually was not available. I found
a few front driveshafts for my RamCharger, but no brake parts....
about the 35th place I called offered to beat any prices I found, and
they say that they can get both pieces of the calipers - new - for $60,
so we'll see how that pans out. I suppose even if they're wrong it's a
decent price on the calipers, and I'm saving about $30 on my driveshaft
which will almost pay for the trip down there =)

I'll also stop by Advance Auto in Jamestown to see about returning my
IFS parts and getting that $300 back =)

I suppose the plan for the rest of today is to grind and wait. I'm
getting some coil buckets too, so making a clean frame to mount them on
would be useful, and then I can see what I'll need as far as spring
heights and mounting provisions and so forth. Then that'll leave
steering and pluming.....

I doubt there will be more news from today, so look for the next update
tomorrow.
