Haven't experienced something like that...but the VSS doesn't control the
manual transmission. Could be either differential, driveline (driveshaft
sticking at the u-joints - seen this), or something in the electronics for
fuel when decelerating.

Subject: DML: 5 speed "bucking"

Has anyone else experienced that when driving in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gear at a
constant speed, not accelerating, that as soon as you take your foot off the
go pedal slightly or all the way that the truck really jerks or bucks? Mine
has done slightly since new but lately it seems to be doing it more often
and heavier. Would this have anything to do with the RWSS? Or any other
ideas? It's a 97 CC, 318, 4x4 and all the U-joints seem fine.

TIA
Jay
