Moving the IAT is fine. Using the programmer wouldn't be recommended.

So my assumption is that since I tow a lot, I shouldn't look towards moving
the IAT sensor in order to avoid potential pre-detonation issues? I'm still
waiting for a company to come out with a programmer that works similar to
what is available for diesel's. I'd love to be able to flip a switch to
change between towing and performance mode. ;)
