James, If you have a spare key that hasn't been used much, try that one.
In 11 years the key you have been using has probably gotten worn enough
that it isn't pushing the pins in the lock far enough. Try turning while
pulling the key out slightly. (sometimes works)
Cutting a new key using the old one as a master may not work.
If you have the key code, a dealer can punch a new key that should work
like new.
The other possibility is that the pins in the lock have gotten too worn.
In that case it's time for a new ignition switch.
