I checked the prices for AutoZone axles, reman units, but they do have the
LLT warranty on them. IF you have all wheel anti lock brakes on your truck,
they run 125 + 80 core. If you only have rear wheel ABS, the are 100 + same
core.

Good Luck and HTH,

Well, it is happening, either I have thrashed my driverside CV or my hubs
have have gone bad, or BOTH!

We were out hitting some mud and doing a little climbing Thrusday night and
I let her drive the hill. Next thing I hear is a loud rough grind(while
articulateing uphill, in 4HI. She took it on back down the straight hill
and I hear it again in 4HI turning a corner, but it is nothing like a bad CV
of a front wheeldrive ticking while turning constantly.

So we swapped seats and I begin the 'thrashin' of a lifetime for this truck
nailing the hills, flying cross the creaks trying to do it again, only I
could never repeat it. Now there is a 'tick' in the front drivetrain at
highway speeds but staring out the window watching the fron wheel(passenger
side while she is driving) my wheels are not 'wobbling', to my understanding
the typical cause of bad hub assemblies.

Now, the next morning I inspect her good, check all the CV boots(perfect
looking, no rips drips or oozing). Jack it up and pull of the front wheels
and check for rocks hiding in grinding spots, nothing, but there is
certainly something wrong. So I am going to assume that it is the CV shaft
that has busted a ball or something.

I have priced them @ Napa, $130 + $93 Core. Are these shafts any good?
The price seems fairly high for other CV shafts I have bought for other
vehicles. Is there a better shaft for the same money(or close in cost for
good quality)?

Anyway, thanks in advance, I always heed the advice of the list.... hehehe
