Mike,

  I know it sounds weird but have someone get you some green tea. The
chemical catechin in green tea can stop the growth of various types of food
poisoning bacteria and greatly helps ease the symptoms.

 A cousin of mine who owns an herb shop gave me some when I had food
poisoning and I was very surprised how effective it was.
