This motor was designed to handle close to south of 500-lbs of TQ.
The AMG MB tranny in question is the problem. It is no used in MB cars. It maybe the thinking of the SRT to ensure longevity of the powertrain.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how is engine torque output in any way
effected by the transmission? Maybe the numbers at the wheels could be
higher, but the engine's output will remain the same regardless of what
transmission used.
