Re: Mopar headers for 1992 Dakota

>From what I understand, they were made by Doug Thorley
for Mopar. I emailed Thorley a month or so ago about
them and they are out of stock and they are not sure
when they will be back in stock. I am sure there are
some places to find them, but you are correct, they
are not cheap. I bought a set in 94 for my 93 Dakota
and loved them. I sold that truck last year and picked
up a new one and have been looking for another set for
this one.

Here is a link to someone that carries them, but it is
a little steep for me:

As for performance, I had to dig out one of my old
magazines for exact numbers, but it is safe to say
they make a BIG improvement.
They were tested in a December 93 Magazine so the
truck is either a 92 or 93 (both had the good
manifolds) and it netted 20 rear wheel horsepower. The
0-100 were reduced by 10 seconds!! 0-60 was reduced
from mid 8's to 7.24. That is from a stock truck. I am
sure you would see even more improvement with the mods
you have.

Good luck and if you find someone that sells them for
under $500, let me know

Thanks

Tom
