Nu uh Jimmy, I will be hunting turkeys on my 30 acres in Kentucky. I will
be putting my Georgia house up for sale soon so I can live there most of the
time. I have deer, ELK, (yes, elk), turkey, squirrels, bobcats...man, you
name it.

I just finally got to the bottom of my brake dragging problem, after
replacing brake lines, calipers, (which I was doing anyway), brake pads, and
rotors. I even replaced the little vacuum valve on the brake booster, but
once I did that, my problem became more frequent...on touch and go use, my
front brakes would begin to drag badly and the only way to cure it was a
full stop and pump the brakes fully a time or two. I found that there is an
adjustment between the brake booster and the master cylinder and I grew
suspect of that. Once I removed my master cylinder to have a look at this
adjustment, I found brake fluid sloshing around in the lower part of the
booster, a bad thing! The adjuster was loose and had apparently backed
itself out, thus reducing the slack necessary to allow the brakes to back
off properly when released. I pushed so firmly on the master cylinder, that
fluid was forced out the rear seal of the master into the booster. I
ordered a new booster from Advance, be here in the morning. Red loctite on
that adjuster once I have it set...I read a few of the other Dak boards and
saw that my same problem had occurred frequently on many other Daks as well.
I doubt you recall, but I mentioned that my Raybestos PLUS PG, (sorry if
that is wrong), super duper pads only lasted about 12k miles...I must say
now that I doubt it was their fault, I likely was dragging those pads much
of the time and that likely shorten the usable life of these pads. So,
there ya go boys and girls.

Now....as far as a DML gathering, I am thinking about offering a "southern"
version at my home in Kentucky. We have a log home in the mountains with a
view to die for, but I don't have a mud pit or creek but a beautiful place
to relax, so think it over. The northern versions sound like great fun but
they are a bit far for an old guy like me to get too. Once I sell the GA
house, we must consider it...EH Jimmy Knox?

Jon is the only one that can hunt the Turkeys. He is the closest person to
being a Pilgrim, as he owns a Plymouth Barrcuda and may have nicknamed it
Mayflower, being a 440 it will blow the sails off anything!
