change out your O2 sensors. you'll probably pick up a nice bit of mileage.
they're probably covered in soot from the blown gasket.

Subject: DML: TQ conv lockup with new belly pan

I just had my belly pan gasket replaced for the second time in 30k miles.
Now I don't think my Tq converter is locking up. Is there any possible
correlation between those? I went from 15 mpg to about 13.5 mpg [tested
over the same 200 mi. trip, with only 15 or so degrees difference in the
temp] I have a '99, 5.2 4wd, 100k miles, last tranny svc at 90k miles,
original o2 sensors. Please cc any replies directly to me in addition to
the list.
