The only times I've ever needed high speed is when I've turned the fan off
(long highway trips, etc) and forgotten to turn it on until I notice I'm
running hot. AC, 100+ degree temps with high humidity, hard driving; low
speed seems to have it all covered. Keep in mind most of us are cooling
engines producing about half the power with 2 less cylinders than what the
fan was meant to keep cool..
Another place I've seen the Viper fan in use is on Troy Trempanier's Fear
Factor Hemi 'Cuda (built for Joe Rogan). That pretty well made my mind up
that it would be up to the task at hand.
