The ones I got for the front of my truck are waterproof and they are ontop
of my bumper. They are tempered glass. Basically they are worklights witha
55w halogen bulb in them, great for trail manuevering at night and really
lights up the close at hand area. I tried mounting a set under the bumper
where they would be factory wise and I hated it and they got rock chipped
within a week
