This is something that I thought about as well. I would like to see the
meet last at least 3-4 days... if possible, longer.

First, the die-hard DML nuts will attend a meet just

Yup - the diehard nuts like myself, and while I can't speak for
everyone... You should be able to count in Jason and Norah, Mike and
Anne, Adam HAS to come - even with a Jeep. Adam - you are STILL a
DML'er - even if you no longer have a Dakota. You have proven that you
can pull assinine length road trips and I know you are a Dodge man at
heart still :-) I'm still waiting for the day when you get a Ram. Mr.
Jon Steiger has been known to pull some long road trips as well - I
talked to him earlier and his main concerne seemed to be schedule vs
driving. So you could count on most of the Regular East Crew attending.

That is what I am hoping I can count on when it comes to support for
this. This WOULD be a once in a lifetime meet for just about all of us.
I doubt a meet of this proposed magnatude would happen again until the
20 year mark - and by then - who knows what will be of the DML and its
members. lol By the time the DML clicks over to 20 years old - there
would probably be only 7 or 8 lunatic die hard members holding onto
their trucks that are vacuum sealed and have been restored 30 times.
(ok maybe 3 times for everyone else - 30 times for my trucks) geez - by
the year 2015 - my Dakotas will be 26 years old! So its safe to assume
this will be a once in a life time meet. - though I would hope it would
happen again :)

I can see where this would be an option for those not wanting to drive
for days on end - but it would be kinda funky if the trucks wernt all
there.

Desert, forest, or some other nice outdoor location is what I had in
mind. I need input on this aspect - location is a big thing - not
everyone will want to camp out I would think. More to come on this as I
have another post to send off to the DML here shortly.

Also agreed on the fact that 4th of July is a bad time to do this. Too
many people on the roads - too much congestion in general - fuel costs
are also higher for that holiday... too many reason why the 4th is a
bad idea.

Jason and I have been talking this over too - a set up like that would
make co-ordination much easier.
