Subject: DML: New Dak For Bill
I was surfing Autotrader - always a dangerous pastime. Found a 2003 R/T CC,
Black. 111 miles on the clock. Overhead console, Infinity sound. Mopar soft
tonneau. Decently loaded. Best of all, it was only 35 miles from where I
live.
Dealer was asking $20,858. I looked at it a couple of weeks ago and passed.
Couldn't make up my mind, couldn't agree on a price.
Dealer calls me yesterday and asks me if I'm still interested. Takes another
$500 off. I told him I'd call him this morning. I didn't get around to
calling
him. He calls me again this afternoon and asks what he can do to make the
sale. I told him I was thinking about it. If he had another buyer, go for
it. He
calls me back again. Said they could take another $200 off, but that was it.
So I told him I'd call him back again. He was getting a little irritated,
lol.
Called him back and told him he had a deal. $19,100 out the door.
The truck was at another dealer that went bankrupt. The dealer local to me
picked it up when that inventory got split up. I don't have the original
sticker. I do have the VIP report I had them print out with the original
order on the
truck, option codes, etc. Anybody tell me what the sticker might have been?
I
think I did decent on the price for a brand new truck, even figuring in the
depreciation.
