No I didn't get a new truck...yet. Some of you may remember I was working
at the GM plant in Wilmington DE until this past June. That's when they
stopped production of the Saturn L Series car. Since then, I've been working
part time at Auto Zone and been in lurk mode here. I applied for a position
with the State Police as a Telecommunication Specialist and I received a
letter in the mail today informing me I have been accepted for the job. I
have to pass a physical first and that should be no problem then I'll
actually start work on the 13th of December. I have been hoping for this for
a while now, and it finally came through. This does mean however, I may be
looking for a new truck.....probably a CC with 4WD, V8 and a 5 spd. The
position is considered essential personnel so regardless of the weather, I
have to be at work when I'm scheduled and I'm thinking of the possibility of
snowstorms later on in the winter. Just wanted to share my good news with
all my friends of the DML.
